MONEL FLANGES

Monel is a popular, high performance nickel-copper alloy commonly used in critical and high performance applications. Monel 400® exhibits high strength, excellent resistance to acidic and alkaline environments, and good ductility and thermal conductivity. This alloy maintains its properties and performance in temps ranging from subzero to 1,000°F (538°C). Monel 400® can be hardened only via cold-working.
Because it contains the same amounts of nickel and copper content as naturally-occurring nickel ore found in Ontario, Canada’s Sudbury mines, Monel is considered a “puritan alloy.” This makes it unique among the Monel alloy family.
Monel socket head cap screws are made from a nickel-copper alloy that exhibits high strength, toughness and good corrosion resistance. Renowned for the saltwater corrosion resistance, Monel is the go-to material by the navy. It is often used in many other marine applications for its combination of high strength and seawater resistance. Monel screws are even resistant to rapid moving seawater and will last many years in saltwater conditions
